Ok, lets start with a different way, this time our blog.

I imagine:

- you are playing for a 10-man Guild, and usually hear that "you are not so good to play to the progress team", but "have patience, you will play, on the near future".

- you are playing to a 10-25-man Guild that usually miss some raids because some people doesnt login intime, doesnt have any organization except what wowstead-like sites give for free, everything is just free talk and you are waiting there, because you feel that things will change soon

- you are progressing in 10-man but playing less than you wanted to raid, but "hey there are friends around so i will stick with them till we disband"

- you are a Greek, but you believe Guilds that are full with Greeks, doesnt succeed in the game

- ....

Whatever the reason and based in my experience, which is...7 YEARS IN SAMURAI, having played either Hardcore or Softcore, having killed hundreds of bosses and most importantly, having talked with thousands of members all these years, believe me mate when i am saying:

DONT WASTE YOUR FUCKING TIME ANYMORE!

Why there are so many guilds around, where most of them play the game just to play the game. No organization, no rules, nothing at all. Just a constant "i play the game" like the players we all see in LFR. I question myself often, is this real? Why we see trash players like that in LFR? They dont have guilds to get them improved? They dont have any Role Leaders or Class Leaders? They dont have brain at all?

So, Samurai are different? Why?

Yes we are. Our organization is much better of any other guild except the very hardcore ones that exist in the game for more than 3 years. We do have Role Leaders that constantly looking how their players do-ing. We do trying to improve them by offering Bank Materials, by checking their overall through WOL Stats. We do play in Raids that we dont have yells all of a sudden, that have specific plan to follow. We do offer a teamspeak all the time and super Forum experience.

No we are not anymore a Hardcore Guild. Been there, done that, we are playing Hardcore for many years, managed to go less than top-100 in Europe while we were doing our Immortal Achievement and a bit more than top-100 when we were playing in SWP. We choose till last May, to play differently. We didnt had a Progress Team, because we wanted to progress equally, to check players and test them while we were playing together. We do know that this wasnt so good for our progress, but we didnt gave a fuck about it, at that time. The plan was to get organised a 25-man guild, and we did...just that.

We do have now 28 people that are capable to start raiding, and we will start...today!

We play Wednesday and Monday, from 21.30 (21.15 the invites) Greek Time or (20.30 Server Time) till 01.00 Greek Time (00.00 Server Time). We plan to increase our days, to 3 days per week in the future, if needed.

We are Greeks at the moment, but our site is in English, our most important threads in forum is in english and we are open to accept any non-greeks if they agree that they will hear a lot of Greeks while they will be here. Most info we can discuss through your apply.

We need some more people that can join our 25-man Raiding, prove their quality and take a permanent spot in our raids. Do you believe you are better than the ones we already have? Its highly unlikely but hey...prove it and the spot is yours!

First of all kudos to everyone that follow our steps. We are now 3 weeks before the release of Mist of Pandaria and its time to analyse what we will do till then and how we plan to play on MOP.

Lets see first of all, what is in our blackboard, shall we?

At the end of this expansion and at the dawn of MOP, we will do THE SAME THING we have done in the past. Check our history when we were at Karazhan in the past, and you will see the same. What's that:

As you may know already, we play every week with two 10-man teams. Named the groups as Progress Group & Prospects Group. To help our 2nd team advance, now in the start we have used some of our alts, but the plan is to take good players to replace our alts, and have equal progress with 1st team. In the past, that was achieved and in Karazhan times we had 3 10-man teams that had equal progress each other.

2nd group = alt group = low group?

Nope, we dont play the game like this. In the past 2nd and 3nd teams had even better progress from our 1st team and we made this happen by mixing the teams all over again every week. We will do this, by accepting that will have some disadvantages, read more below.

So every week, if we have some players in Prospects Group that achieved very good healing, way of tanking (reactions, movement, etc) and dps in their latest raids (we have a specific page to see this staff, at http://stats.mysamurai.eu , we promote them to play with Progress Group and we put some of our A+ players to Prospects group. We are doing that to test players in more difficult situations and in the same time, help each team to progress further.

We will achieve this, as we believe we have developed over the years a top-notch organization of how we make raids, how the players play, how we check each person progress, etc etc. We have specific rules that our players follow every week. Specific penalties and specific way to play.

Yeah but this means that you may have slower progress, right?

Lets be clear with this, so we dont have any fake illusions ;) We plan to play 2 days per week each group and with this playtime, wont be easy to compete guilds that tend to play every day of the week (as we also did in the past).
We wont play more days, our plan therefore is to advance further but with this timeplay. We dont get anxious to have Server Firsts like we did in the past just to make progress. Slower, but progress. 

For us, the real progress will be achieved when we will be ready to play 25-man raids, like we did for most of our history in the past. How soon? We dont have a clue, we wont rush to take BAD players so we can go 25-man raids. We prefer to play 10-man raids till the end, no problem at all. If we feel we have gathered top notch players, we will consider go to 25-man Raids. If not, continue our plan. 

Are the recruitment is open again? Can i get in? Any requirements? 

Yep we are open again, but first make sure u have understood what's written in above. We have specific needs for a specific well written plan. We will follow that, till the end.

Yes, we are all Greeks at the moment, and we prefer to remain, but if someone superb apply with us, we dont have any limitation to take non-Greeks in our raids. 

No we dont speak English in our guild chat and yes you will read a lot of Greek and hear even in our Raidcall Channel. But we will guide you what to do in English and every of our raiders, speak english as well. We have our main page in English and forums.

Why have an ilevel requirement, with MOP so soon being released?

First of all, we have 3 weeks till MOP and in our blackboard above, is to clear DS till then. Is there a vaule on this? Yes the game is as nerfed as it gets right now, but we would like to finish it before start playing in MOP. There are 2 more bosses, and we have problems that some of our raiders have their exams at the moment and cant play constantly, but we will try for the best. Ilevel combined with other things we ask in our application and we can see it in your armory, show us what player each one applies to us, is actually. Very important as we dont have time to "learn" wow to others. We need experienced players!

I strongly believe that when a very experienced player applies, even if he doesnt have very good gear, can shows his quality with a very nice application, and therefore being accepted. If you are bored to write a good application, have the certainty that will be very bored to read it and not deny you at once!

So you are looking for 11+ players? 

Nah, just point out what are the players / classes we need to have optimal groups in our raids. If for example we have a very good application for a Warrior Tank, that means that we wont search for a DK Tank, and the below analysis will change. It depends, we will see!

What days do you raid? What Times?

We play 2 times per week. The days are Wednesday and Thursday for Progress Group and Monday to Tuesday for Prospects Group. From 20.30 Server time (21.30 Greek Time) to 00.00 Server Time (01.00 Greek Time)

We are officially on vacations, till 22/8, and as a present, we created a themed picture featuring some of the players and some of the bosses we killed or..we will kill soon ;)

Our preparation for Pandaria is going very good. We nearly prepared our team for the expansion, with nearly 15 people for our 10-man team (we only looking for a very good moonkin, to have all we need). On September, we will raise our playing days to 2 per week, we believe are enough to have the kills we want on Pandaria. 

Mist of Pandaria is coming on 25.09 and we will be prepared (to remember an epic quote) !!

Thnx for all the applications we had the last weeks, and the comments and love you are making either in our Facebook page or my email or facebook messages. I know that it may look harsh sometime that we deny so many people, but you must understand that we are playing only one day per week (two from September as wrote above) so we dont have time to joke around. We need players that know their classes and willing to become part of a team that exist in this game since 2006. Yes is that long!

Our philoshopy wont change on this expansion. We measure our players overall with our stats page, and almost whoever is the best plays each time.  As we are all Greeks, often we are setting up meetings. A meeting will be held at the end of August, with a beer with our members live @ Athens. I will be on my beloved Crete the next weeks, so expect some pictures also with Xapos, Mitrux, Nanashi and whoever is there (Summoned?).

Hola everyone once again,

Our resurrection plan went well, and many old members joined me in this new era, to play in a more casual way WoW and alongside ofc waiting for Pandaria. 

We play 10-man atm, with one solid team every week for just one day (yes unbelievable if you remember a bit our old days, where we were playing 7 days per week, for many hours). Now we play casual, by playing one day (every Wednesday) and sometimes we have a 2nd raid (on Tuesdays) for Fireland raiding, but not too often.

Our progress is 4/8 HC till now, and the thoughts for the future is to continue testing new members (currently have 4 trial members and 11 originals (we call with that way, our old members that play actively atm) along with some old members that don't play actively atm (they are more on Diablo, hehe)). So totally we have around to 20-21 ppl plating with us.

We are not considering to create a 2nd team on 10-man, so sorry for the apps we had to deny lately.

Also, as all the members are Greeks now, we prefer to stay on this like we had for years in the past, so sorry again for apps that we denied because  of this. Our site will remain in English though ;) We are at Europe, yeeeeeeeeah (naaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!)

The plan is to continue playing casual till Pandaria, and then decide to add more days (maybe one more day) to our raiding days and see if we can organise at that point, a second 10-man raid. We will see!

Our needs got updated again, thnx for all the recent applications and your love! We are now seeking only for one balance drood, that must have full set of t13 completed and 397 and hc epics, to be considered and also have dps gear as os when needed. Sorry but all the other classes are covered ;)

As you may know from previous post, we have started playing again, in a very casual manner at Twilight's Hammer EU. We play every Wednesday, from 21.15 to 00.00 and occasionaly we play one more day per week, when we want to. But this is optional. Our loot system, in this comeback, is Council based and we have done 2 raids till now, currently DS 6/8. 

We do search only for Greeks atm though
