5.2 Progress: 3/12 Throne of Thunder Normal Mode

Γειά χαρά σε όλους και όλες,

Οι Samurai έκλεισαν 7 χρόνια ζωής φέτος, και με την έλευση του 5.2, ψάχνουμε πλέον μόνο για Tank & Healers, με 487 iLevel και πάνω.

Ας δούμε λίγο αναλυτικότερα σε τι σημείο είμαστε αυτή την στιγμή αλλά και τι θα βρείτε μπαίνοντας στους Samurai, αν τελικά γίνει η αίτηση σας αποδεκτή.

Αν και ξεκινήσαμε στις 12.12.12 (!) να παίζουμε 25άρια, δυστυχώς πολλοί παίκτες δεν ανταποκρίθηκαν στις προδοσκίες που υπήρχαν, αν και ήταν κάποιοι παλιά μας μέλη. Αυτό έφερε το αποτέλεσμα να μην έχουμε το progress που θα θέλαμε σε 25-man και θεωρητικά πάντα να μείνουμε πίσω. Για τον λόγο αυτό, μια εβδομάδα πριν, πήραμε την απόφαση να επιστρέψουμε στα 10άρια και να "γράψουμε" progress αλλά και πάραλληλα να δοκιμάσουμε κόσμο σε μια δεκάδα (στο παρελθόν, από αρχές Σεπτέμβρη μέχρι και 11/12/12 παίζαμε με 2 δεκάδες) ώστε να φιλτράρουμε καλύτερα τους παίκτες μας. Το αποτέλεσμα ήταν, από 6/6 & 4/6 στο HoF που ήμασταν μια εβδομάδα πριν, να πάμε στο 3/6 MV Heroic, 6/6 HoF και 4/4 Terrace, παίζοντας 3-4 φορές. Το πλάνο αυτό θα συνεχιστεί, κάνοντας ομάδες που πηγαίνουν στα Farm Bosses μας και μια (1) που πηγαίνει για progress. Στόχος του πλάνου είναι να επιστρέψουμε στα 25άρια σύντομα. Αυτή την στιγμή έχουμε περίπου 20 άτομα τα οποία έχουμε τσεκάρει και θα μπουν στα 25άρια και κάποιους ακόμα που βρίσκονται υπό δοκιμή. Πρακτικά θα μπορούσαμε να πάμε άμεσα στα 25άρια, αλλά θα το καθυστερήσουμε, ώσπου να ολοκληρωθουν με επιτυχία οι δοκιμές.

Update: 16.03.13: Μετά από νέα συζήτηση που προέκυψε εσωτερικά, θα επικεντρωθούμε σε επίπεδο δεκαριού μόνο σε πρώτη φάση, με 3 μέρες Raiding την εβδομάδα, δηλαδή Τετάρτη (21.30 - 01.00 - 01.30 - 21.15 τα invites), Σάββατο (16.15 με 19.00-19.30 - 16.00 τα invites) και Δευτέρα (21.30 - 01.00 - 01.30 - 21.15 τα invites). Αν διαβάζετε αυτές τις γραμμές και θέλετε να μπείτε σε εμάς, να ξέρετε πως ψάχνουμε μόνο όσα θα δείτε παρακάτω. Οι άλλες θέσεις είναι κλειστές - sorry!

Θεωρούμε πως σε 2-3 εβδομάδες θα είμαστε στο επίπεδο που θέλουμε, μιας και θα χρειαστεί λίγος χρόνος να ετοιμάσουμε κάποιες offspec κλάσεις που θέλουμε.

Παίζουμε κάθε Τετάρτη, Σάββατο και Δευτέρα (3 φορές την εβδομάδα) και αυτή την περίοδο ψαχνουμε:

1 ή 2 Healer, πιο συγκεκριμένα:

1 ή 2 Tank, πιο συγκεκριμένα:

Είναι απαραίτητο για εμάς, να έχετε στοιχειώδης εμπειρία στο παιχνίδι και αρκετό /played. Οτιδήποτε κάτω από 100 το βλέπουμε πολύ μικρό για να ... "επενδύσουμε" πάνω του, αλλά ποτέ δεν ξέρεις καμιά φορά!

Μπαίνοντας εδώ, θα υπολογίσετε πως αρχικά θα έχετε στάνταρ μια μέρα, το Σάββατο όπου θα κληθείτε να δείξετε τι αξίζετε. Αν τα καταφέρετε, οι μέρες θα αυξηθούν. Αν όχι, θα υπάρχουν κάποιες επιπλέον ευκαιρίες και έπειτα τέλος ;)

Ας δούμε αναλυτικά όμως πως έχουμε οργανωθεί και τι θα βρείτε εδώ:

Forums - Πολύ βασικό για την οργάνωση μας.

Στους Samurai κάνετε ένα register το οποίο αφορά όλα μας τα Site (ίδια username/password δλδ) και το Forum μας παίζει ένα από τους κεντρικούς ρόλους. Μέσα θα βρείτε τακτικές που δίνουμε για τα επόμενα Boss, σημαντικές ανακοινώσεις για την όλη πορεία, tutorial Video του πως χρησιμοποιείτε τις επιλογές που υπάρχουν καθώς και κείμενα βοήθειας που αφορούν όλα όσα συνθέτουν την οργάνωση μας, όπως ποινές που υπάρχουν, πως δίνουμε τα loots, κλπ

Ιδιαίτερα σημαντικό, είναι ένα Forum που το ονομάζουμε Members Analysis όπου κάθε μέλος μας, έχει ένα ξεχωριστό Thread το οποίο μπορεί να το δει μόνο αυτός, και οι Daimyo (Officers) μας και περιλαμβάνει παρατηρήσεις σχεδόν κάθε εβδομάδα σχετικά με το παίξιμο του αλλά και προβλήματα που υπάρχουν. Δεν μπαίνετε και "αφήνεστε" στην μοίρα σας ώστε να δούμε τον επόμενο. Υπάρχουν Role Leaders pου παρακολουθούν την πορεία σας και θα σας πουν συγκεκριμένα πράγματα κάθε φορά.

Παράλληλα έχετε την ευκαιρία να συζητήσετε για theorycrafting με άλλα μέλη, να οργανώσετε παλιά raids ή να μάθετε πότε θα πιούμε το επόμενο...καφεδάκι

Calendar - Δηλώστε από όπουδήποτε και αν είστε, κατά πόσο μπορείτε να παίξετε. Μάθετε αν τελικά έχετε επιλεγεί μια μέρα τουλάχιστον πριν και φτιάξετε το πρόγραμμα σας αντίστοιχα.

Τα Raids ξεκινάνε 21.30 και 21.15 πρέπει να είστε μέσα, όσοι έχετε γίνει confirm και όσοι είστε backup. Οι υπόλοιποι μπορείτε να κάνετε ότι άλλο θέλετε.

Δείτε το Calendar μέσω κινητού, tablet ή του υπολογιστή σας, εύκολα και γρήγορα.

 



Roster - Έχουμε το δικό μας mini armory και μπορείτε να παρακολουθείτε τον χαρακτήρα σας. Δουλεύει ανεξάρτητα από ότι το κανονικό (που σημαίνει είναι online συνεχώς).

Βρείτε στατιστικά όπως πόσα τελευταία raid έχετε πάρει μέρος και τι loot έπεσαν κάθε φορά ή τι έχετε πάρει εσείς τους τελευταίους μήνες.

Γρήγορα και άνετα.

Διαθέτουμε Teamspeak 3 Server 35 ατόμων και το χρησιμοποιούμε για όλα μας τα Raid.

Τα Raid προχωράνε με συγκεκριμένους ρόλους, όπου μιλάει ο Raid Leader και πιθανά κάποιος Daimyo (Officer) και όλοι γνωρίζουν τι θα κάνουν έχοντας δει τις τακτικές τις οποίες βάζουμε (στα Ελληνικά).

Γενικότερα τα Raid μας είναι πολύ ήσυχα, εκτός και αν είναι νύχτα...wipefest!

Stats - Δείτε τι κάνετε στα Raids, τι κάνατε στο παρελθόν και τι θα κάνετε ... στο μέλλον!

Αναλύουμε μετά από κάθε raid (μετά από κάθε try για την ακρίβεια, με live feed) τι έγινε και πως έπαιξε ο καθένας. Κρίνουμε το παίξιμο σας σύμφωνα με αυτά και όχι βάση τι θυμόμαστε ή τι λέει η "κλίκα" πως θυμάται...

Δείτε πως παίζουν αντίστοιχοι παίκτες με εσάς σε όλο το κόσμο, δείτε τι ακριβώς κουμπιά πατάνε και βελτιώστε το παίξιμο σας.

Ξεχάστε τα Guilds που φτιάχθηκαν χθες με στόχο να πάρουν 10-20 loots και τέλος, μπείτε σε μια παρέα που 7 χρόνια τώρα κρατάει και κερδίστε progress αλλά και loots σε βάθος χρόνου με παίκτες έμπειρους που ξέρουν τι πρέπει να γίνει και πότε.  Το 5.2 πλησιάζει, ήρθε η ώρα να σταματήσετε να είστε "στο περίμενε" ή σε Guilds της πλάκας, δεν το νομίζετε;

Ok, lets start with a different way, this time our blog.

I imagine:

- you are playing for a 10-man Guild, and usually hear that "you are not so good to play to the progress team", but "have patience, you will play, on the near future".

- you are playing to a 10-25-man Guild that usually miss some raids because some people doesnt login intime, doesnt have any organization except what wowstead-like sites give for free, everything is just free talk and you are waiting there, because you feel that things will change soon

- you are progressing in 10-man but playing less than you wanted to raid, but "hey there are friends around so i will stick with them till we disband"

- you are a Greek, but you believe Guilds that are full with Greeks, doesnt succeed in the game

- ....

Whatever the reason and based in my experience, which is...7 YEARS IN SAMURAI, having played either Hardcore or Softcore, having killed hundreds of bosses and most importantly, having talked with thousands of members all these years, believe me mate when i am saying:

DONT WASTE YOUR FUCKING TIME ANYMORE!

Why there are so many guilds around, where most of them play the game just to play the game. No organization, no rules, nothing at all. Just a constant "i play the game" like the players we all see in LFR. I question myself often, is this real? Why we see trash players like that in LFR? They dont have guilds to get them improved? They dont have any Role Leaders or Class Leaders? They dont have brain at all?

So, Samurai are different? Why?

Yes we are. Our organization is much better of any other guild except the very hardcore ones that exist in the game for more than 3 years. We do have Role Leaders that constantly looking how their players do-ing. We do trying to improve them by offering Bank Materials, by checking their overall through WOL Stats. We do play in Raids that we dont have yells all of a sudden, that have specific plan to follow. We do offer a teamspeak all the time and super Forum experience.

No we are not anymore a Hardcore Guild. Been there, done that, we are playing Hardcore for many years, managed to go less than top-100 in Europe while we were doing our Immortal Achievement and a bit more than top-100 when we were playing in SWP. We choose till last May, to play differently. We didnt had a Progress Team, because we wanted to progress equally, to check players and test them while we were playing together. We do know that this wasnt so good for our progress, but we didnt gave a fuck about it, at that time. The plan was to get organised a 25-man guild, and we did...just that.

We do have now 28 people that are capable to start raiding, and we will start...today!

We play Wednesday and Monday, from 21.30 (21.15 the invites) Greek Time or (20.30 Server Time) till 01.00 Greek Time (00.00 Server Time). We plan to increase our days, to 3 days per week in the future, if needed.

We are Greeks at the moment, but our site is in English, our most important threads in forum is in english and we are open to accept any non-greeks if they agree that they will hear a lot of Greeks while they will be here. Most info we can discuss through your apply.

We need some more people that can join our 25-man Raiding, prove their quality and take a permanent spot in our raids. Do you believe you are better than the ones we already have? Its highly unlikely but hey...prove it and the spot is yours!

Apply for us, and you will see why we are different. Stop waste your time but if you decide to apply for us....please DONT WASTE OUR TIME!

This week, we did again what happened in our past many times. A so called difficult boss - Elegon, who we killed it last week by forming a special group for him, died this week with a normal group on 2nd try! Yep, Mogu'shan Vaults is on farm mode and are eagerly waiting for Heart on Fear later this week (officially start on Monday). 

Let me analyse a bit what we are aiming in 5.1 and what's the next steps we have in our masterplan for the guild. Its the first time we speak about it in public, but as many asked about that in our forums or mainly ingame, its time to explain our plan.

"Common lets go play HCs, 25-man instances, let us burn playing 7 days per week, kick him he is not worthy of Samurai History, why you give loots to Ronin man!, ffs why divide us and play with 2 groups, we could be among the first now in server!" etc etc etc...

Yep, since we started in May, i heared everything direct or in-direct, and saw everything. I experienced having new members that either havent read carefully what we are expecting from someone in the game or simply ignoring (that simply leaded to their kicks) it completely. Some times, even when u have a solid plan in your mind, you wondering as the plan goes, if u thought everything right, if ur calculations are right and if the game changed and you have an image in your mind that it tottaly different of today's standards.

You question yourself about it but at the end of each week, i was sure that the plan was right, that we had to step up the big uphill before create again the guild we had in the past. And not rush at all!

Details, Details, Details

We started in May 2012 again, summoning our old members one by one and test new ones to re-create again the team. With one group, and with one day per week. We cleared like this DS Heroic (yep, the nerfed one - We didnt killed Brutallus back in SWP days nerfed, we didnt completed the immortal achievement nerfed, we didnt killed Illidan nerfed, we didnt played SSC / MH nerfed and most of the guys here, play since back then.
So in case any ideas get in your head, STFU  (we didnt had any comments though, just shout out to be sure ;)) and found more people to create a second group on Mist of Pandaria.

On September 2012, we raised our commitment to 2 raids per week and created a second group and we divided our raids to play in both groups, every week. We made our rules more strict, we include in them penalties in terms of gold and make sure everyone follow them in order to have highly organized raids, like we did in the past

On Novemember 2012, we are in a position where we have 24 to 25 people actively raiding with us every week, by playing in these 2 groups and killing bosses, gathering loots, participate in our forums and following our rules. Since our re-birth, we created everything with 25-man Raids in our mind. We wanted to get ready for 25-man raids and when i am saying ready, i mean a member that knows his class well, have a fully enchanted and gemed gear, have raised his reputation in all major factions, bring food (>300) and flasks in the raids, can stand out and be a sub for some bosses or an entire raid and the same time listen to our Teamspeak so he can be prepared for the next chance he will be in our raids, be polite and social with others, sign up every week with no delay, appear in our raids with no delay or notify for possible problems.

This process, is something that its not happening in 1-2 days. Needs time and the guild needs to find the right people for the job. As we are not "burning" anymore, i mean we are not playing 7 days per week or having glorious kills yet, its even more difficult to attract the right people, to bring applications that when we ask in them: "What's WOL? Do u know where it being used?" the applicant reply something that its not like: "WOL is a spell? Mmm give me some hours, and i will update the post!"

This process, we call it....TRAINING. Yep, we train our members to reach our next goal, which is 25-man raids. Be careful again, i am not saying with are searching for members to reach our 25-man goal. I am saying we are TRAINING our members (old or new, dont have illusions on that, everyone needs training) to become the raiders we want and reach our 25-man goal. During that process we dont have glorious kills. Yep, Elegon kill was nice but in the old days, Mogu'shan Vaults should have been cleared in 1-3 days time. So what i am constantly saying to any new members, is: "Are u prepared to participate in a guild like that? To train urself on what we are aiming for the future? Can you have patience and will to show what's your ... quality in the game? No? Is the answer no? If it is...man...GET THE $UCK OUT OF HERE!!! We are not the guild you want, we have specific plan, specific rules and we are not in a rush to kill everything!!

Is that a Greek Guild?

In the past we were a Greek only Guild. We were accepting only the best among Greeks and managed for a long time being the best Greek Guild and the first sponsored Guild in Greece also. (big thanks to H&M and Caniball for that, some years ago!)

But not...anymore. Our main site in English, our forums (with the most important threads) and calendar pages are in english, our stats page is in english but....our Guild Chat is mainly in Greek, our Teamspeak chat is mainly in Greek but ofc if you dont speak Greeks, we will tell you in english what to do during a raid. Our members speak most of them English, so if you want to join us and follow our plan, YOU CAN but you have to understand that you will hear a lot of "greek" words. If that not a problem, apply!

Heroics, i dont see any kills??

At the moment its not in our plans to kill HC mode anything. Yep, will raise our standing within the server but that's not what we are aiming at the moment. We prefer to kill everything on HOF (starting this Monday) and train more members to our Samurai Style of raiding. After we clear HOF, we will start thinking go for HC on MV or HOF. We will see

How close you are on 25-man Raids?

I believe that most of the part of our preparation is ready and we have trained sucesfully most of our members. We are 24-25 members now but we wont start before reach 30 people at least (35 is the optimal number). I dont know when this will happen, and to be honest, i dont care. Till then we will continue playing with 2 groups on 10-man raids and start planning a third one. In my mind, we will focus on progress but with our current plan, meaning playing 2 times per week, on 25-man raids. Till then we are interested but its not so important for us. Yes we kill new bosses every week but no we dont extend raids and things like that. I believe we are close, but to be sure and not give false "dreams" to anyone, we often saying that we will start 25-man raids on 5.2

Loots System, Playing times?

a. We are asking our members to be available 3 days per week, to play 2! Yep, this is some short of paradox, but let me explain what we mean:

We play with 2, 10-man teams. Group A as we call it, plays Wednesday and Monday and Group B plays Thursday and Tuesday. We ask our players first of all sign up for Wednesday and Thursday till Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning (or earlier) they will be informed through calendar if they got confirmed for either of these 2 days. If yes, the must be online 15 mins before the raid start. So this will be their 1st day of raiding.

The second one, will happen either on Monday or Tuesday and they must sign up till Sunday night. On Monday morning, they will get informed again from Calendar if they got confirmed. If they are not, can do anything else they want, as we all have real lifes ;)

We play from 20.30 Server Time to 23.30-00.00 every time (21.30 Greek Time to 00.30-01.00)

 b. We use Loot Council system. For almost 4 years, we used Zero Sum DKP. Many problems, we can analyse it more to you after your apply to us if you have questions of what we mean. We have Loot Council now, and we believe we are pretty capable to decide where to give the loot to further improve our players. If you dont trust me or my Daimyo (officers), apply elsewhere.

Simply. Click http://apply.mysamurai.eu , click on Illidan's ugly face and you will be transfered in our forums. Need to have an account there to be able to fill our form and apply. Remember that the application will be visible only to our Daimyo (officers) and me. Noone else can see what you are writting so if you in a competitive guild, dont be afraid to apply.

Requirements?

Check each of the classes above, have exactly what the iLevel we want (475 is the minimum nowdaysy). Make sure you make a worthy application, put as many text you can inside, describe yourself at the best way. We can lower a bit these requirements for old members, not everyone will be accepted though. Find us and we can discuss it!

Yes, gameover since yesterday, but is it so important to actually make a gameover in a nerfed instance?

Well, lets analyse it a bit, to understand why we believe its important, shall we?

We started playing again, in April 2012. In the first month, we gathered old players to start raiding again, and we fully started playing in 15-20 of May. Till end of August, for nearly 3 months, we were playing ONE (1) day per week.

Yep, believe it, we only played one day per week. No second team, just us, for one day per week. And since 20-25 of August, meaning less than one month, we started playing 2 times per week, and slowly building a second team to play mainly on Mist of Pandaria.
So, for the raids we had, we believe that the Heroic: Deathwing Guild Run is important just to finish the game properly, even a nerfed game.

We didnt killed Brutallus back in SWP days nerfed, we didnt completed the immortal achievement nerfed, we didnt killed Illidan nerfed, we didnt played SSC / MH nerfed and most of the guys here, play since back then.

I am waiting you, yes you that read these lines. It wont be easy, will have many, many, many, (did i mentioned the word MANY?) wipes, many difficulties along the way, some extended raids, but the whole feeling, when you will be in our next kill shots would be awesome.

No we wont play hardcore in the expansion. Yes you must be eligible to play with us 2 times per week, no less. If Wednesday and Monday are not the best days for you, remember we have another group that play Thursday and Tuesday, so make your pick. And remember also that we will mix up our raiders between the two teams in the future, often. So yes, the progress wont be so fast as to have one team playing all the time.

We are officially on vacations, till 22/8, and as a present, we created a themed picture featuring some of the players and some of the bosses we killed or..we will kill soon ;)

Our preparation for Pandaria is going very good. We nearly prepared our team for the expansion, with nearly 15 people for our 10-man team (we only looking for a very good moonkin, to have all we need). On September, we will raise our playing days to 2 per week, we believe are enough to have the kills we want on Pandaria. 

Mist of Pandaria is coming on 25.09 and we will be prepared (to remember an epic quote) !!

Thnx for all the applications we had the last weeks, and the comments and love you are making either in our Facebook page or my email or facebook messages. I know that it may look harsh sometime that we deny so many people, but you must understand that we are playing only one day per week (two from September as wrote above) so we dont have time to joke around. We need players that know their classes and willing to become part of a team that exist in this game since 2006. Yes is that long!

Our philoshopy wont change on this expansion. We measure our players overall with our stats page, and almost whoever is the best plays each time.  As we are all Greeks, often we are setting up meetings. A meeting will be held at the end of August, with a beer with our members live @ Athens. I will be on my beloved Crete the next weeks, so expect some pictures also with Xapos, Mitrux, Nanashi and whoever is there (Summoned?).
